Luling, I-10 and US 183 - Luling, TX
Saturday was mostly a bust, but I did find a few blooms near Luling. There are several large patches of bluebonnets along I-10 between Luling and Harwood, and also up in the hills on US 183 just south of the I-10 intersection.
The field on Arrow Ln. just north of I-10 has very few blooms, but there are a great number of gaillardia seedlings which are probably 2-3 weeks away.
I traveled all the way to Goliad (and back); south of Luling, there are practically no wildflowers at all, but there are a profusion of flowering Huisache trees as noted in an earlier post.
